Having oily skin might be a blessing as oily skin is less prone to fine lines; however, it is prone to pimples and acne if not cleaned properly. This is due to the excess oil that sebaceous glands produce in people who have an oily skin complexion. Reducing the excess oil and opening the skin pores (to avoid clogged pores that cause acne and inflammation) is key to have a healthy skin. Many people make the mistake of using harsh products that dry the skin too much and cause irritation; this makes the problem worse. A mild natural cleanser that has soothing benefits such as a mixture of honey and oatmeal is great for cleansing the skin.

Cucumber is a great natural ingredient for toning the skin and clearing it. It can be used as a mask, or as a toner. Egg whites are also a great natural mask for oily skin. Baking soda, sugar, or salt make great natural scrubs. A paste made of Crab Apples is perfect to moisturize, exfoliate, and reduce oil. The crab apple is a natural alpha hidroxy acid – and ingredient found in many beauty products. Lemon juice is great for reducing oil, but also to brighten skin. For a great oil cleanser readily available in your refrigerator, use milk – it has cleansing and soothing properties that will not dry the skin. Rice powder, as well as corn flour are perfect ingredients to reduce oil and use as scrubs or masks. Honey can be used as a moisturizer, leaving for a few minutes and then rinsing it. It is natural, has antiseptic properties and will not irritate skin or make it oily.

One of the most important issues with oily skin is that it has to be cleansed avoiding irritating it. It also needs a scrub at least once a week, as minimum. This helps loosen up dirt and material that has accumulated in the pores. A gentle natural cleansing mask is important to use once a week as well. Oily skin can be a blessing more than a problem if cleansed accordingly.

Acne is an undesirable condition of the skin. It is common on adolescents, but can affect people in their middle age as well. This is due mostly to the hormonal changes in the body. While some extreme cases of acne might need treatment with medications and antibiotics, other mild and sparse conditions can be treated with natural remedies.

This skin condition can be treated with natural ingredients that are economic and do not contain chemicals that will irritate the skin. However, for skin health and radiance, a balanced diet that contains vitamins and beneficial nutrients for the skin is the base for great skin. Many times, food that are high in sugar and fat content, starches, and other bad eating habits might contribute to acne. Foods that aid normal bowel movements are beneficial, as constipation can contribute to acne since the body needs to release its toxins.

To alleviate acne a person must reduce the amount of oil in the skin. Eat a healthy diet. Enjoy the benefits of vitamins A, E, and C for the skin. Zinc is also beneficial. Face and body should be washed with non-irritant natural products, such as oatmeal soaps. Cod liver oil is good for the skin when taken as a supplement. Applying a mask of egg whites will help clean pores. A paste that is made of yogurt and oatmeal is a good cleanser that heals the skin. Aloe Vera has antiseptic and antibacterial benefits to help clear acne. Orange peel water is also beneficial for its antiseptic properties. The water of a tea bag mixed with basil has healing properties and is a great toner for the skin as well. A mixture of cinnamon and honey has antibacterial properties to help clean the face and heal acne.

These are just a few examples of most used natural ingredients to treat acne, but Mother Nature is full of ingredients that are very beneficial.
